A person would resort to crime according to their circumstances rather than their personality. I believe that human nature does not influence the probability of them becoming a criminal; rather, it must be an external factor causing them to commit a crime. So it is possible to stop children from growing up to be criminals by ensuring a healthy environment in which they grow up.

It is more common for people with psychological trauma to commit crimes such as mass shootings, murder, drug dealing, and many more. For example, many students that are responsible for school shootings are usually outcasts and suffer from social anxiety because they are bullied. Other forms of trauma can be that of physical or emotional abuse from guardians towards children. This, in turn, deteriorates the mindset of the child and makes them rebellious and more likely to indulge in criminal activities to vent out their frustration.
