Elementary Grammar Exercise is a free online resource. It includes thousands of quizzes covering essential English grammar topics for elementary school students. We organize all exercises into five groups: Parts of Speech, Parts of Sentence, Verb, Tense, and Others. Each group consists of some categories. For example, Tense includes four common tenses: present, past, perfect, and future.
If you click a category in the menu, you will see exercise sets related to a particular grammar topic. In general, there are ten quizzes in every exercise set. The question may be a fill-in, single-selection, or multiple-selection question. You can practice online and check the answer on the same web page. It's a handy tool to enhance grammar knowledge for English language learners, including K-12 students and ESL (English as a second language) students.
Considering that this is a relatively large exercise bank covering core English grammar and includes hundreds of exercise sets, we strongly suggest leveraging this resource under the guidance of tutors, parents, or others with sufficient knowledge and experience in teaching English grammar.
For students who challenge the quizzes independently, we provide guidelines for topics from grade 5 to grade 8 and suggest learning and practicing the correct content according to their actual grade level.
